FOREIGN LANGUAGES ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF MY LIFE. A TOOL THAT HELPS ME IMMERSE MYSELF IN A NEW WORLD AND GET TO KNOW IT INSIDE OUT, INTIMATELY. IT GAVE ME A CHANCE TO LEARN ABOUT NEW WAYS OF EXPRESSING MYSELF AND SEEING THE WORLD, AND IT ALSO ALLOWED ME TO LOOK AT MY NATIVE CULTURE AND MYSELF FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. FROM THIS MULTI-DIMENSIONAL MIXTURE CONTINUOUSLY EMERGE A NEW SELF, A NEW LANGUAGE, A NEW SENSITIVITY.

I was born in Poland, Bolesławiec - and in my hometown I also received basic music and art education. I’ve always been fascinated with Asia, a passion which gradually matured and over time focused on art and languages. Both led me to South Korea, Seoul, where I’ve been living since 2008. I solidified the connection with my new home by becoming a citizen of the Republic of Korea in 2020.

I graduated from the Faculty of Modern Languages at the University of A. Mickiewicz in Poznań, where I completed five-year MA studies in Ethnolinguistics majoring in Japanese, German and English, as well as BA studies in Korean Philology. I also majored in Art Education at the Academy of Fine Arts (now the University of Arts) in Poznań, Poland, but during my second year I decided to suspend my studies and look for an opportunity to pursue my passion for art abroad, in a new environment.

In 2010, I received a 5-year scholarship awarded by the Korean government (KGSP - Korea Government Scholarship Program) and continued my language and fine art studies in Seoul. I graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Ewha Woman's University (the largest women's educational institution in the world). During this period, I also immersed myself in Eastern painting, which enriched my artistic skill set with new forms of expression - another language. This led me to adapt new tools, including ink, traditional Eastern brushes - new shapes of lines and a new color palette, introducing traditional Korean forms of expression to my most beloved topic, the human body.
